As a Senior SEO Engineer at Cedar Financial, you will be responsible for planning, executing, and refining SEO strategies that support our content and marketing goals. You will conduct site audits, identify SEO opportunities, improve technical performance, and implement on-page and off-page SEO best practices. Your work will ensure our online presence effectively reaches target audiences while supporting lead generation and brand visibility.
Key Responsibilities:SEO Strategy & Social Media Planning:
Develop and implement SEO and social media strategies aligned with company goals.
Collaborate with marketing and content teams to optimize digital assets for search engines.
Identify opportunities for organic growth and implement scalable SEO initiatives.
Technical Optimization:
Conduct in-depth site audits and fix issues related to crawlability, indexing, site speed, and mobile usability.
Optimize website architecture, structured data, and internal linking.
On-Page SEO:
Optimize metadata, headings, and content to improve keyword rankings and user experience.
Support content creation teams with SEO best practices and keyword strategy.
Off-Page SEO:
Manage link-building campaigns and identify opportunities for quality backlinks.
Monitor backlink profiles and disavow toxic links as necessary.
Analytics & Reporting:
Monitor organic traffic, keyword rankings, and conversion metrics.
Provide regular SEO performance reports and actionable insights.
Compliance & Best Practices:
Ensure SEO strategies comply with industry guidelines and search engine algorithms.
Stay current on industry trends, algorithm updates, and SEO tool developments.
Bachelor’s in Marketing, Computer Science, or related field (Master’s preferred).
3+ years of progressive SEO experience.
Expertise in technical SEO, Python/R/SQL, and enterprise SEO tools.
Strong leadership, strategic thinking, and project management skills.
Proven track record of driving organic growth for enterprise-level websites.
Deep knowledge of SEO tools (Ahrefs, SEMrush, Screaming Frog, Google Analytics, GSC).
Familiarity with HTML, JavaScript, and CMS platforms (e.g., WordPress, HubSpot).
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication.
Ability to lead SEO initiatives across teams and departments.
