We are looking for a highly experienced Senior Backend Engineer with deep expertise in Python, Django, and Django REST Framework to join our growing engineering team. Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain backend services using Python, Django, and DRF.
• Build and optimize RESTful APIs, ensuring versioning and scalability.
• Implement and maintain background tasks and scheduled jobs using Celery.
• Collaborate with frontend, DevOps, and data teams to deliver end-to-end solutions.
• Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code.
• Participate in code reviews and mentor junior engineers.
• Contribute to architectural decisions and help drive best practices.
• Work with Docker, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud deployment (AWS).
• Troubleshoot, debug, and upgrade existing systems.
• Ensure security and data protection best practices are followed.

 Requirements:

• 4+ years of professional experience with Python, including Django and DRF.
• Strong experience designing and building RESTful APIs.
• Experience with Celery for background task processing.
• Solid understanding of relational databases (PostgreSQL preferred).
• Experience with Docker and containerized development workflows.
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools and cloud platforms.
• Proficient with Git and collaborative development workflows.
• Experience with unit testing, integration testing, and TDD.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a distributed team.

Nice to Have:

• Experience in the healthcare or pharmaceutical domain.
• Familiarity with Nginx, microservices, and event-driven architectures.
• Knowledge of data processing pipelines and ETL.
• Experience with frontend frameworks (React) is a plus.
