For the position of Experienced Accountant to be based in our Lahore office, to manage the work done for the UAE office.
The Role
- Oversee and manage a team of bookkeepers
- Oversee the delivery of quality information to senior managers and to the other departments within the practice
- Build relationships throughout the practice to ensure cohesive working between the bookkeeping team and departments such as accounts, payroll, and tax.
- Alongside the senior managers, identify and deliver process improvements and drive positive change, focusing on efficiencies and output.
- Review of VAT returns, bookkeeping files, and supporting schedules.
- Ability to resolve internal and external queries arising from bookkeeping review.
- Review of detailed management accounts.
- Deliver training, guidance, and development of the team
- Review timetables for timely bookkeeping/management accounts delivery
- Produce draft tax computations and a provision for inclusion in the accounts
- Fulfill any relevant additional/ad hoc duties as required to meet the needs of the business.
Excellent UAE VAT knowledge to include:
- Cash Accounting
- Invoice Accounting
- Partial Exemption
- Flat Rate Scheme
